Anyone have paint issues??

Hi Gang,
I just noticed on our 04 MC40 that on the roof by the windshield we have some paint coming off. Two spots on the passenger side a few inches in from the windshield trim. You can see the red paint underneath. I called the Mini dealer and talked to Jon the service manager and he asked me to send some photos of the paint issue. He told me more than likely they wont be able to do anything about it but he would try.
Has anyone here had paint problems similar to this?
I hope I can just get this touched up versus re doing the whole roof. Maybe we could just touch it up and then get a decal made to cover the roof? Well, let me know if anyone has any ideas.

Thats a really common place for rock chips. I know mine has a few there. Its not rediculous to think that the paint problems might be the result of something similar. I would say Vinyl that roof!
