Today started out at around 8 am AZ time. We stayed at a place called the Seminole Inn, it should have been Seminole WIND! As we didn't have anybody to keep us on a route, Debbie decided she wanted to see the oldest Doctor Pepper bottler in the world in Dublin Texas, so we headed south today.
I was glad this didn't last too long. Went from oil fields yesterday to peanut and cotton fields today, and the dust was flying!
If you look hard enough every small town has something fun going on.
Found the perfect street, I am going to put an offer to buy every house on it. (JK)
Jon, I know you are hot for all kinds of micro and mini cars, so I gave these folks your number, said you would pay top dollar!
Only in Texas would you be encouraged to slow down to only 60 miles per hour when entering the twisty bits on two lane country roads. They know nobody is going the speed limit anyway, so why slow down more than that?
Looks like a lunch invitation to me.
More country fun, too bad I couldn't get hooked up as a judge.
Here we are at the Dublin town limits.
Factory tours are only 2.50, they still use real sugar, not corn syrup to sweeten the soda. Dr. Pepper has 23 flavors in it's recipe, so take your time tasting it, and of course have one at 10, 2, and 4!
Hey, more museums!
MINI spotting!
Texas is famous for it's court houses in all the small towns, here is the one in Waxahachie. I had to go to Waxahachie because, face it, its fun to say.
Waxahachie, Waxahachie, Waxahachie....come on say it out loud three times.
Ended the day at 6pm AZ time in Greenville, saw this local Tex-mex place and who could resist a place called Ta Mollys!
488 Miles today, motel with king bed, refr, micro, highspeed internet and only $45 including tax....what a bargain. In the morning we head for Paris!
