The point is the JCW comes with red calipers on the front and the silver calipers on the rear, since the rears aren't upgraded from the standard S brakes. They just look better matched to the same color IMHO.

If I could afford the Brembo brake kit, they'd be red for sure. Certainly not because of that lame movie series though... hehe.

....noooooot necessarily, Dan! I had to paint my (JCW) calipers red - but I highly agree with you. Even if only the front ones were red and the back were silver, I would've painted them to match the front. Im extremely happy with the way that mine look now. And likewise, it has nothing to do with the movie.

so why not paint the red ones silver, to match the other silver ones? Red looks tacky. I even painted the ones on my old TT black so they would not show up. My only point is why would someone buy a car as nice as a MINI and put bodykits, shopping cart wings, cheapo wheels, and painted calipers? Just putting out an example, not talking about the OP's car.
