WESTSIDE WARNING!!!

Postby Chili Mini » Sun Dec 13, 2009 1:29 am

Those new yellow dot lane markers on Union Hills east of 99th Ave. are not rubber or plastic. They're CONCRETE. This p.m. we swerved to miss a lane changer and hit one with the left front wheel at about 40 mph. Blew the Yoko S Drive and mangled the 17" S-lite wheel.(':(') Filing a report Monday with Maricopa DOT (like they give a rats a**). New wheel and tire due in Tues.

A related issue; called MINI Roadside Assistance for the first time. I wanted Chili MINI lifted home. Their contract requires them to tow to the nearest MINI service facility (MNS) over 25 miles away even though home was less than 2.5 miles away. Fortunately, they couldn't get it there before MNS service closed so they agreed to lift it home.

BE CAREFUL ON THAT SECTION OF UNION HILLS.

For sure, sorry to hear Warren, and thanks for the warning.

I'd have the suspension safety checked also just to be sure nothing else was brent or broken.
