The new clubman & Penske

Long time no see
I am currently looking at a 2011 clubman ( cooper ) non-s 6-speed manual car and was wondering if they are still having issues with them?? should I really consider the extended warranty? on my 04 S I didn't need it, but I did hear on the newer cars they did have some issues early on. ???? Any weak spots or problem areas to look for that might not be user friendly to repair??
Also what about dealing with Penske in general?? I have heard good and bad - last time I dealt with any MINI dealer in town Justin was still there and they were still a United dealer. I never bought a car from any of them - but the service was always great! Again any input is welcome.
