Sun June 14th Wilson Mountain Hike invite!
From the south trailhead, it's a 5.3 mile hike to the top of Wilson Mountain (~2500' of elevation gain), then a short walk to either of the two vista points. The last trip, we choose to look over the Sedona side and it was quite spectacular. We took our time and really enjoyed the views and sites along the way and it took us about 6 hours round-trip. They say it's one of the most strenuous hike in Sedona. It is long and will get your heart-rate going, but I've been on steeper trails and also on more technical trails than this one.

Here's some info I found on the net about it.

We're meeting at my place (40948 N Wild West Trail, Anthem 85086) at 6:15AM for an early 6:30AM departure. We'll try to cram as many people in a car as we can, because the trail head parking lot is quite small and also we get charged $5/car.
Bring a camelpack full of water and some trailmix and/or sack lunch.
