AMVIV is an event....this actually spawned from a former DMC member's idea for a fun run to Las Vegas and posting that on the internet for others to join our small group (many of us were members of another club back then, or not members of any club).

Clubs, loosely organized groups and individuals from all over decided to c0me to Las Vegas, a Hotel was booked as the "officicial" host hotel, and there were fun runs, and parties, dinners and cruises. A party in a park, vendors got involved and Sin City Minis was organized enough to take over the event and put on quite a show.

There is a show, lots of fun runs, and much much more. I know that http://www.amviv.com/ is still up with information from last year and what they had planned, so you might poke around there and get an idea of what they do now, it has grown to quite an event with lots of fun things that you can do in and out of your MINI.

Depending on many variables, I will plan on going and hope that I can actually do it again. I passed on doing it in 06, couldn't do it in 07, so maybe 08 will be the year. Man, does that mean this is the fourth year of AMVIV?

I updated the original post to include the official AMVIV website as well as a link to add yourself to the AMVIV mailing list. Check them out! :thumbs-up:

Yes, but how many of those rooms are at the palace station?

Don't know if you ever got your questions fully answered (JON...!), but here's more info:
Palace Station Hotel & Casino offers several reasonably priced options for hotel guests.

The newly renovated 430 Courtyard Hotel Rooms are all non-smoking and located nearest to the pool area.

A glass elevator ride up from the casino floor brings guests to over 500 deluxe Tower Hotel Rooms which feature views of either the Las Vegas Strip, Downtown Las Vegas or the surrounding mountains.

Each hotel room includes cable TV, internet access, dataport phones, in-room safes, hair dryers and ironing boards.

The top floor of the 21-story tower is home to 20 tastefully appointed hotel suites.

Wireless? Or should I plan on bringing an insanely long ass ethernet cord so San can run his updates?

Looked at schedule and told boss I'd taking that time off so it looks like I might be able to make this event.

Not allowed!!!

Bob hasn't sold me a house yet, and that will take several years so I guess you're just stuck here! :P
