I liked #2 until I realized that Kansas is "centrally" located in the US. Then I was swarmed with horrible childhood nightmares of straight flat roads that stretched on for billions of miles without any sign of human habitation...After that onslaught, my mind was in no condition to vote. So I'm still thinking.

Bummer... :? and I was really hoping for a East to West type of drive. Oh well! I guess any MINI drive is a good MINI drive!

[quote]We can now report that far-and-away preference from owners who took the survey is for four regional meets across the US. Tentatively MINI USA

Just received this from MC2 Magazine, the dates are set for Mini Takes The State 2/2008.

Greetings everyone,

As we all need to plan our vacations this year, we at MC2 have been told by our friends that the dates for MTTS Part II are as follows:

Miami, FL. June 13-15.

Boston, MA. June 20-22

Chicago, IL. July 11-13

Los Angeles, CA. July 18-20

The Miami and Boston dates and locations are 100% locked down, but our info on Chicago and LA are not yet concrete, as MINI is still working on these times and locations. We feel they're secure enough to inform everyone at this time.

Just what they're planning at these locations, we don't know for sure, but we will get back to you ASAP when we know more. Until then, we cannot reveal anything greater than we write here.

We will be at all three events with staff and support team of writers, photographers and video team, so do let us see your classic and new mini if it's worth featuring in MC2.

So if my MINI isn't worth featuring I should just leave it home then.

I agree. They should have picked Phx. A "hotbed" of mini action! Course an event in July would suck tho...lol
