I just received an email from the SCMM folks that we met this past weekend on the SoCal run to the Petersen Museum, and to take in the sights and twistys around Malibu. They just posted their February 2008 newsletter and wanted to share it with us.
It has a nice blurb and photo about our trip and the possibility of hooking up with them in Laughlin on their annual event there on Veterans Day weekend, as well as some other possible things.
It's also their Anniversary issue, so a nice chronological history of their club and how they've grown over the years, the events they've started and take part in, etc.
I thought it was a really nice view of how a club can grow, but you can also see from the list of thank yous, and names of those involved over the years, that it takes a lot of commitment from the membership to really make it happen over the long haul. I know just sitting at Fishermans Market in LA with everyone, I was able to sit back, relax, and know all the efforts to put the trip together were worth every second.
If you would like to get more involved in the planning and future of YOUR club, please contact your Chapters Co-Chair or a DMC Board Member.
