For The Lovers:
*Note-If you don't have a lover or are not with the one you love you may want to skip to the next section.
Take today and use it as a reminder of how to treat your love everyday. You don't need to give card, gifts, or flowers everyday. It's about giving the extra long hug or kiss, the extra I love you you say, and the extra butterflies in your stomach today. Those are the things you need to hold on to and show your love everyday. Remember the most valuable gifts are the little things, the little trinket or token given here or there, remembering something they said they liked or wanted a while back, etc. So take today and the way you feel about your love today and take that feeling with you everyday.
For The Singles:
Valentine's Day is a superficial holiday perpetuated by the chocolate, card, jewelry, and flower companies to help boost profits in one of the slowest retail months of the year. Not only is celebrating Valentine's Day we are adding to the mass consumerism that America is known for. Let's not forget the St. Valentine's Day Massacre of 1929, now there's something to celebrate mob people killing each other. Oh, and then there's Cupid, who is inherently anti-Christian since he is part of Roman mythology. So think of Valentine's Day as a consumerism holiday that celebrates murder and anti-Christian thoughts.
Happy Valentine's Day! (However you celebrate it)
