this is a pointless conversation as you all know id kick erics but. and we all know Dee wants to watch.... youd prolly haev to pay nikki for the use of her hubby though....

ok follow up.

i know i'd be responsable for rent for the room until its re-rented. however, if she puts someone else that is currently in the house and ups their current rent to the new rent, does that mean the room has been re-rented and the other room vacated byt the current tennant?

--i hope that makes sence---

I would say that she is now in the same position as she was prior to you breaking the lease. So you should now be clear.

She would have to take you to court in order to get any money out of you for the remainder of the lease. If I were you I would get some kind of documentation that she has done what you said NOW, then if she does take you to court in the future you can say that instead of renting to another person she has done this and is now in the same financial position as she was under the old lease with you.

my DA friend pointed out that I shoudl ask you that even with a current house of 3. I move out leaving two. one of those two moves from his current room to my old room, in which case his rent goes up, does that still leave me free and clear? or does the 3rd slot have to be filled?

BTW, shes selling the place for 150K ASAP.
