Plans are underway for a FunRun to Tombstone AZ, "The town too tough to die."

We'll watch gun fights on Allen St., a reenactment of the shoot out at the O.K. Corral, check out the bad boys up on Boot Hill, wander into the Crystal Palace Saloon for a cold one and dress like a cowpoke for a vintage photo. It's the same weekend as the Arizona State Cowboy Shooting Championship, so there will be plenty of root'n toot'n action.

It would be a morning run, about an hour from Tucson, with lunch and shopping in this preserved western town.

We are looking at Saturday Oct 25th. We should be back in Tucson late afternoon, which will allow those planning to attend the DMC Halloween Party enough time to get up to PHX.

It's been a long time since I've dressed up like a cowboy and rode into Tombstone. Here I am in an old Polaroid taken in 1959.

It's a morning run down I-10 to Bensen and then a leisurely drive through St. David and into Tombstone. Lunch is on your own or if you can stand watching another MADMAN eat we'll try to find a place that can seat us all. Looks like a great time in this preserved western town.

We should be back in Tucson by late afternoon.

Meet-up: 8:15 am at the Chevron Station, Wilmot and I-10. Be gassed up, tires checked and ready to go.
Depart: 8:30 am
