I love Payson... When people think of Arizona, they immediatly think of Heat and a lonley Cactus... :? How untrue that is!

Dan, has this event been going on more than just the last time? :? :)

P.S. Also, is anyone meeting up before Fort Mcdowell? Just curious... :? :)

Nope, we just got the sign on the highway this year, and Spring 2008 was our first time up. ADOT determines how many times the area that you adopt needs visited, and ours is twice per year, thus the Spring and Fall events.

Last min decision, we will meet you guys at the cafe near the site at 10:15 or so, probably earlier.
Life moves pretty fast....
Driving a MINI slows everything down but you!

Forecast for Payson as of 10/3.
Sunday - Oct 5
Partly cloudy with a 10 percent chance of thunderstorms.
High 68, Low 45.
We will be up higher than Payson for the cleanup, so it will probably 5-10 degrees COOLER up there, so dress accordingly!

Please be aware of this weekends freeway closures if they are in your way :)

Not quite Tate, but close. For some reason the mapping services have the Cafe off in the middle of nowhere, hehe. So your link shows taking some forest service roads that we won't be on, it's all right on 87.

I have printed maps and directions to give out Sunday morning that keep us on the paved stuff ;)

:o Ok! Sweet! I just always do that mapping thing on my own, so I figured I might as well post it. :) I certainly hope that the Cafe isn't in the middle of scenic nowhere!!

Ok, my dad told me to tell you the following:

My Grandma has a cabin up in Pine (north of Payson) and they are up there right now. She just now talked to my dad and she said that it is FREEZING up there! There's even a little bit of snow/slush! SO, just thought I'd update you and say that you might want to wear a bit warmer clothing. Like Dan said, it's gonna be pretty cold up there... :? :) See you all 2moro!!!

Adding to my previous post: I found a really cool webcam that showed the weather conditions of Payson from their Cabin's P.O.V....
