Peter Baird has quite a few stories up his sleeves. He has written several books and served as a contributing writer for New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal and The Chicago Tribune. His long time career as an Arizona lawyer has been a source for some of his writings, including his experience as one of Ernesto Miranda's lawyers in the historic Miranda v. Arizona U.S. Supreme Court case of the 1960s. Between legal cases and new publications, Baird has found the time to become an accomplished musician and magician.
Join Peter Baird for a discussion about his new memoir, Protecting Moscow from the Soviets, Monday, October 6 at 7 p.m. at the Arizona Historical Society. KJZZ's Steve Goldstein will serve as your host and field your questions. Baird will provide signed copies of his book for purchase. Proceeds benefit KJZZ. To reserve your seats, call Becky at (480) 774-8450. Admission free.
