MINI Cooper Rollover on 101

Postby Chili Mini » Fri Oct 17, 2008 7:35 pm

Today's Republic reports a woman hospitalized as result of a MINI Cooper rollover Thursday a.m. on the 101, vicinity of Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd.

Anyone know any details? How do you roll a MINI Cooper? Most likely not an S - no DSC.

I personally know of FOUR MINI Roll overs. And they were all "S"'s.

Many things can cause this to happen, but over correction at speed (sometimes to avoid road obstruction) or getting a front tire in a soft shoulder at speed seems to be a quick ticket to shiny side down status.

I didn't see them happen, but knew the drivers or spoke to them and got to know them after the fact.

I know... it was in my area, and my Mom flipped out calling me when she heard about it.... glad it was no one in our group! I pray that the woman is okay and will recover.

I've yet to hear of any MINI driver getting seriously injured in an accident. These are safe cars!

AMEN to that.

In the roll overs that I know of nobody was injured in any of them! I have heard of other accidents and very few or only minor injuries there.
