The Tubac Collector Car Show (Sat. Jan. 23rd)
Come join us for a FunRun, Car Show, Lunch and a Winery Tour through Southern Arizona.
One of our most popular events of the New Year, we will meet up at I-19 and Irvington Rd in Tucson and cruise down to the Tubac Collector Car Show http://www.carnuts.org where you will see over 500 vehicles on display set out on the beautiful grounds of the Tubac Golf Resort.
Afterwards, browse the streets of the village of Tubac where dozens of Galleries, Shops, Museums and Eating establishments will temp you to drop a few pesos.
We will have lunch in Tubac, followed by a FunRun to Sonoita and a tasting at the Dos Cabezas Winery.
Here is the 411:
Meet Up: 9:00 am -Home Depot on the SW corner of Irvington Rd and I-19, Tucson.
Assemble in the parking area just south of the Chevron station.
Depart: 9:16 am
South on I-19 to Exit 40.
Left to Frontage Rd
Right on Frontage Rd
Go south about 2 miles and turn left into the Tubac Golf Resort.
Car Show
There is a small admission fee so bring some cash. It is usually cool in the morning. Dress accordingly. Our arrival time will put us at the show just after it opens so you should have plenty of time (1hr 45min) to see everything and take a picture next to your dream car.
LUNCH
The location depends on the number of RSVP's, so be sure to post your intentions here.
Run to the Wine Country
After lunch, we will cruise down to Nogales AZ, east on Hwy 82 to Sonoita AZ for a wine tasting at the Dos Cabezas Winery. For those that want to skip the tasting, you can turn north on Hwy 83 at the Sonoita crossroads.
After sipping responsibly, we return up Hwy 83 to I-10 and complete our day. Total mileage about 128 miles. Let us know if you are going to join us for this memorable event by RSVPing here.
