...a Mini on the run throwing an engine code and no longer running properly.

Hey, everyone! Yep, that was me. Whether it was having to get up so early, or just anticipating a hot day on the road, Pepper decided to start throwing engine codes as soon as her tires hit the U.S. 60. After a slow, hot drive to MINI Tempe, she had an engine flush, decarb, got new plugs, & a complete computer reprogram. Today, everything seems to be running fine.

Even though I thanked them personally, I want to give a big "THANK YOU!!!"Dan and Marilyn for having my back yesterday. They gave up their drive to make sure Savannah and I got safely to MINI of Tempe. Selfless acts like that are what make MINI people, and especially DMC/DRP folks so special. To everyone who emailed, texted, and called to make sure we were ok, I really, really appreciated the concern. Sure, this club is all about the MINIs, but it's the people that drive them that are special.

Thanks to everyone who posted pictures and videos of the run... it was almost like being there.

I really hated to miss this run...It looked like we had so many new and/or prospective members that came out on Saturday.

I duct taped my 6 year old to the hood.

Ooohhh.... I never thought of that. I've got a teenager... next time she gives me sass, I'll see what she thinks about that. Would have saved me twenty bucks on my video camera mount.
