A MiNi Weekend In Oceanside!
Don't forget our trip to Oceanside California planned for July 20-22
We have decided to optimize our AMWIO time on the ocean, we will depart on Friday July 20th in the early evening and spend the night in El Centro, California. By doing that we can arrive at our destination at a decent hour early on Saturday and enjoy a longer visit to the coast without driving till late at night on Friday and being exhausted. In order to keep things very affordable on this trip we have chosen lodging accommodations that are economy minded.
Friday July 20th
The first night in El Centro is showing rates right at $46 and discounts are available with membership cards, or on some hotel booking sites. This hotel offers King size beds.

Saturday July 21st.
Our second night closer to the ocean will be in Vista California, only about 15-20 minutes from the Oceanside Harbor and attractions. We have decided to do this as rooms are about half the price here as they would be closer to the Ocean. And honestly, how much time are we going to spend in the hotel. This hotel does have a pool, hot tub, tennis courts (like I play tennis) and King size beds (or two Queens). Right now on line prices are around $60-70 dollars with special offers and discount cards accepted that could bring that price even lower, or rooms are available on some hotel booking sites as well.

The plan is to spend part of Sunday morning the 22nd taking it easy before making the trek back to Arizona. More details about some of the things we will see and do, but mostly we want to get out of the desert for a weekend on the beach!
